What Causes High Fever And Fluctuating Heart Rate In Children?

I have a 3 year old daughter which came home with a fever of 100.8 and now has a fluctuating heart rate of 125 to 140 she also has a wet cough and just got off antibiotics for a severe ear infection. She has been taking loratdine for allergies we would like to know if we need to worry or take her in to see a doctor

There is no need to worry but yes you definitely need to take her to doctor. The presence of fever with wet cough indicates either a throat infection or lung infection.

Also in view of recent ear infection, presence of wet cough may also point an incomplete recovery of ear infection.

So she requires an evaluation and most likely another course of antibiotics also .
