What Causes High Fever Along With Nausea And Vomiting?
My son is 11. He was not feeling well on Wednesday - he had a temp of 102.7 which was accompanied by a bit of nausea but no vomiting. He also had a headache although it wasn t bad. He was flushed and his eyes were glazed and red. He had a bit of a sore throat. His fever lasted through yesterday - with a headache and some dizziness when he got up to walk. He s had no appetite. His temperature dropped to high 101s throughout the day yesterday and was just slightly elevated today. I m worried because his headache has been worsening today and he s complaining it is bad and that he has a pain around his eye socket and on that side of his head. Should I take him to A Doctor or clinic tomorrow?
In my opinion, don't worry, he needs lab tests to be done and blood culture if needed to know the cause for fever. As of now, you should keep some wet cloth on his forehead to reduce fever, or wet his bed wid water if temperature is too high. Ya, it's necessary to go to a pediatrician as he is a child and prone for many infections and have his blood tests done to know the cause. I hope you get benefitted with my answer and your child get well soon.
