What Causes High Fever Along With Body Ache And Chills?

My 31 year old daughter has a 102.9 fever. Her whole life, her body temperature has run about 1 degree cool, so I would consider her temp a little higher. She has chills and body aches, but earlier today tested negative for the flu. (She had the flu in late january. She just called and is concerned because all her fingertips feel numb. Should we be concerned? The clinic she visited said the probably has one of the viruses going around

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
sorry for your daughter.
Is there any associated problem like, Coughing?
How many days she is suffering ?

My openion :
1.If fever associated with cough, chilll, chest pain it may be bacterial or viral infection.

2.Any previous recent history of travel in hilly area !!! because chill with fever is highly associated with malaria.

consult with your dr for some routine blood investigation to find out acutal problem.
best of luck.
