Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

By what you say I feel that your kid might have got cystitis or inflammation of the urinary bladder due to the viral illness. I suggest that you get an ultrasound of abdomen done to rule out other pathology like parenchymal kidney disease, renal artery related disorder, or renal vein thrombosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sumanth
