Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,
There are some pathologies that cause high cortisol level. Adrenal gland tumors or hyperplasia and pituitary tumors are the most common.
You treating physician will suggest you a dexametasone suppression test and some radiological exams. After them he will be able to make the right diagnosis.
Some times obesity is the cause of high cortisol level.
