What Causes High Blood Pressure?

My father in law suffers from high BP and almost everytime we take his reading it stays around 155/104. It is usually equal to or above this reading. Throughout the day he has a habit of lying down on the couch getting up only when necessary. Is this related to his high BP readings?

hello.
I'm Dr Arshad.
Hypertension isn't really related with not doing any thing and lying on the couch.
First u have to make a chart and check whether his BP is same throughout the week.
Then ask him do some physical exercise. And also control his diet.
Avoid eating salty and oily food and focus on vegetables.
thanks
