What Causes High Blood Pressure?
My mom has high blood pressure constant at 194/87. What kind of risk is it for her to drive or be left alone until they can get around to treating her? It has been Going on a month now and they have done vnothing but test. How long can she hold on before her next stroke? She lives in the bed for fear of having another one.

Hai.making a patint with high blood pressure to lie on bed is not an indication to prevent stroke.
Make sure she keeps her headend position elevated for at least 30 degrees. Untill all the evaluation is done u can go for plain calciim channel blokers like amlodipine 2.5 or 5mg,
Please get her evaluated gor her sugar levels, sr creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, lipidprofile, ecg, chest xray,
Avoid oily, salty, non veg diet, stress, anxiety.
Once evaluated u can go for the treatment.
