What Causes High Blood Pressure And Headache?
I got dengue fever 3 weeks back and recovered by now. my BP was normal all through the dengue fever i.e 120/80. But after 3 weeks my bp has increased to 150/100 and then down 130/100. because of which i had severe headache. while an ecg the doctor also suggested that i have sinusitis. I never had these complaints in the past. what going wrong here? i am not stessed and dont have any anxiety.

Elevated blood pressure in your case could be primary hypertension ,which is unrelated to the dengue fever.I advise you to have a baseline ecg and 2 dimensional screening echo to rule out organic heart pathology.Restrict the intake of salt to less than 6 gm/day.Avoid smoking and alcohol.Maintain blood pressure under 130/80 mm of Hg.Antihypertensive drugs like metoprolol is needed to control blood pressure.Consult your cardiologist for further care.
