What Causes High Bilirubin, Sgot And Sgpt?

my husband undergone an angioplasty last june 2009...

he take some pills such as aspirin,cardesartan,concor,lipitor,and amiodarone...

but for the past 10 months his bilirubin ,sgot and sgpt are high...(yesterday's result bilirubin 45.5,sgpt 87, sgot 38)

no meds was given to him...

may we know why his liver and heart enzymes is still high inspite that he religiously taken his pills and so carefully watch his diet..

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Your bilirubin and liver enzymes are increased. It suggest there is some liver damaga by any mean. You may have hepatitis. Or it may be due to drug or alcohol. You should go for complete liver function test and ultrasound abdomen. This will give you exact diagnosis. Then you should take treatment accordingly.
