General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I understand your concern.
In pregnancy, there is need for increased blood volume,for fetal blood circulation There is about 600 ml of rise in blood volume. As a result there is dilution of mother's blood. as a result ESR is raised.
Decreased blood Hb% & low protein in blood is also common in pregnancy . they also contribute to raised ESR.
Any infection or inflammation also causes rise in ESR.
* You are worried about your ESR in pregnancy.Please get your CBC count which will inform bout Hb%, Type of anemia, presence of infection/inflammation.
- Iron ,Vitamin ,protein supplements take care of the condition.
Low Hb% affects maternal health & thereby fetal growth too.
* Please do not worry. A careful assessment of investigation reports & experts advice would defenately help you.
Thanks.

* NOw, in your case
