What Causes Heel Pain?

Ive had this pain in my heel for a long time now. When im not walking for a period of time maybe just sitting or waking up in the morning. When i stand and start to walk its hurts until i start walking more and more then it starts to feel better but its been getting worse and worse. Any ideas on what it might be would be appreciated.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that you are having planter fasciitis. Treatment of it is hot fomentation, Analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Vitamin B and C are helpful in recovery. I generally give my patients of planter fasciitis injection triamcilone locally in the heal weekly till pain is relieved to the maximum of 5 injections with excellent results. Generally pain is relieved by two injections only. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to help you.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
