What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding After C Section?

hi dr i had a c section 42 days back .it is my ist baby. I had vaginal bleeding for about 19 days and then off and on spoting and bleeding. Then i srarted heavy bleeding 10 pads per day. Dr prescribed me transamine 3 times a day but no effect after 5 days. I m breastfeeding. Wat shuld i do.

Thanks for writing to us.
Vaginal bleeding due to c section can be due infection of the uterus,retained placenta and many more reasons.
If there are symptoms such as fever with rigors or foul smelling vaginal discharge it is more in favor of infection.
it is suggested you have a ultrasound evaluation to exclude any bits of placenta inside your uterus.
Any family history of bleeding disorders needs to be considered.
very rare chances of vesicular mole also should be kept in mind for that you a blood test name beta hcg .
