Hi.

I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.

Heavy blood flow in the menopausal age group may be due to hormonal changes, Intra uterine devices, & diseases like Fibroids, endometriosis & many other conditions. Other symptoms like headache & numbness are menstrual symptoms.

You have to assess the flow of blood by counting the no.of pads your are changing per day. If it's morethan normal, you need consult a gynaecologist for further assistance. I suggest,
- to take tab. Mefenamic acid thrice daily & tab. Tranax 500mg twice daily.
- Do USG pelvis to rule out underlying pathology if any
- check your hemoglobin levels & TFT
- check your electrolytes, especially calcium & vitamin D levels.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Get well soon.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
