What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding While On Contraceptive Pill?
my daughter is 18 and on birth control and has elevan pills left and just got an abnormally heavy flow she has always had problems like her period lasting a month at a time and the dr keeps telling her not to worry but she cant spend months at a time bleeding and this just doesnt seem right isnt the pill supposed to regulate and isnt she technically to young for these kind of problems? i will google somwhere i do not have to pay thats what the internet is all about ive paid to much already and nothing has helped this child i will pay no more for no fixes
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Heavy menstrual bleeding while on birth control pills is a side effect of the pill itself. Some people do experience such symptoms initially, but would subside few months later. However, if she is unable to bear this, it would be better to use an another form of contraceptive pill or other methods of contraception which would suit her well.
