What Causes Heavy Bleeding, Nausea And Severe Headaches?

Hi I had a merina in nearly 5 years due to be changed in june this year I have not been bleeding since they got under control with medication and the mirena I have been bleeding 4 days now with cramps headaches nausea and very tired The bleeding is not going on a pad or tampon but when going to the toilet and wipe it is there What do u say? I am not meant to be bleeding at all due to having bad periods previous. Should I be getting checked

Hi.

You can get checked, but a hormonal fluctuation caused due to the mirena or any other cause can also result in the bleeding described by you. But please also note that bleeding is not an indication for removal of mirena, but it would still be best to visit your treating doctor to make sure there is no other cause for the continuous and heavy bleeding.
