What Causes Heaviness And Tenderness In The Breasts During Ovulation?

I m 44 year old woman and 8 years ago had my daughter. Sometime when I m ovulating my breasts become heavy and tender and I will have nipple discharge similar to when I was breast feeding but in lesser amounts. This only occurs with hand expressing. Is this something to be concerned about?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
This is totally normal. Heaviness, tingling sensation, nipple discharge and sometimes pain are common during menstruation due to enlargement of breast ducts under influence of estrogen. So there is no need to worry.
Advice
1.     Wear well-fitting bra to provided support
2.     Keep yourself hydrated by drinking 4 – 5 liters of water daily
3.     Avoid coffee, smoking, high fat diet and alcohol
4.     Consume less salt in diet before period
5.     Do meditation and workout in gym
6.     Regularly check your breast for any lump. Do self-palpation of breast
Thanks
