Hi Doctor, I am burping all the time day and night. After eating and before eating. Sometimes I can feel my stomach rumbling and moving. I also get a headache and body ache in the evenings. My GP prescribed Lenzprozol and Peptic Liquid, but nothing seems to be working. I get heartburn as well now and again. Please can you advise what can be done and what is causing this. I have already had an ultrasound, gastroendoscopy etc but nothing was found. Please advise
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) is more likely in your case. Only drugs are not useful. You need to follow these lifestyle modifications for complete symptomatic recovery. 1. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid junk food. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals. 2. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm. 3. Go for walking after meals. 4. Quit smoking and alcohol if you have these habits. 5. Keep 2-3 pillows under head in bad to prevent reflux. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
