What Causes Heart Palpitations, dizziness And Blurred Vision?

My 21 year old, single, Caucasian, daughter, 5 5 , 100lbs, in good health, good diet, non smoker, no drugs, has episodes, several times per week, when she experiences heart palpitations, hot flashes, sweating, lightheadedness, dizziness, fading vision, nausea, a feeling she will pass out, and her skin turns bright red. These episodes last approximately two or three minutes and afterwards she appears to be fine. These episodes are distressing for her. Is there a medical reason to explain her symptoms?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different possible causes but she would need to be assessed to determine the exact cause.

Hyperthyroidism (high levels of thyroid hormone), anemia, heart disease, side effect of medication, high levels of other hormones and if no cause found, anxiety - can cause the symptoms mentioned

To determine the cause, her doctor would need to examine and do both blood tests and an ECG to look at the rate and rhythm of the heart beat.

I hope this helps
