What Causes Heart Palpitations With Anxiety?

I have gastritis, severe anxiety and depression, sometimes I feel shortness of breath, chest shooting pain, left hand pain, heart palpitations in the lower/buttom of my neck which are more like skipped beats. I have these palpitations everyday. Most of the time its two skipped beats and I have to take a deep breath for them to go away. All these problems started after my substance abuse one year and half ago. I have been to the ER many times. They did EKG and blood work. It came back fine.

Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

I think, you have panic disorder. In that case, your investigation including ECG or blood tests would come normal. You can take antidepressant with low dose benzodiazepine that would help to control anxiety symptoms. You can also try some relaxation exercise. Better to consult a psychiatrist for proper management. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
