What Causes Heart Palpitations, Chest Tightness And Coughing?

Hi, I'm 49, and since last Thursday my heart has been palpitating, I get short of breath, chest tightness, and sometimes have to cough with it. Concerned if I should go to my doctor or if stress could cause this, so i started looking on-line. Any suggestions? Thanks,

Hi thanks for posting your query on health care magic.

Your symptoms are quite suggestive of an ischemic heart disease with mild symptoms of heart failure;
I STRONGLY recommend you to get a chest x ray,an EKG, A SCREENING 2 dimensional Echocardiography to evaluate your heart.If needed an you may require an Angiography.
By this early detection,suitable drugs can be given to you ,which can improve the blood circulation.

I strongly recommend you to consult an expert cardiologist for further assistance.
Thank you
Take care.
