What Causes Heart Palpitations And Anxiety While On Levothyroxine?

I am a 49 yr old woman dx w/ hashimotos disease 2yrs ago. I am on 50mcg levothyroxine. I follow a strict gluten and dairy free diet. Is it true that my primary illness is the autoimmune disease not the thyroid as I do not have an enlarged thyroid or goitered. I suffer from heart palpitations and bouts of severe anxiety. My endo does not want to increase my meds due to the symptoms I have. I need to get to the bottom of this, could I have additional food intolerances that are responsible for these symptoms ?

Hi,
With the information you have provided ...these can be common side effects of levothyroxine.increasing dose would worsen the issue.
Donot worry your doctor must have fixed dose according to blood workup..if problem worsens visit your doctor for dose adjustment..
If u have any further queries I would be happy to help you..
