General & Family Physician 's  Response
Heart murmur in a child is due congenital heart disorder. There are several types of congenital heart disorder such as atrial septal defect, ventricular septal defect, Fallot’s tertalogy etc. In most of the cases, heart defect needs to be corrected by surgery. In some cases, it resolves itself with time. What type of heart defect your child have, you have mentioned. Defect might not have been corrected by itself, so it is persisting since birth. Most probably, it must be atrial septal defect, but I am not sure with this insufficient information which you have provided over here.
Advice
1.     Investigation
a.     Echocardiography
b.     Chest X – ray PA view
c.     ECG
2.     Consult a pediatric surgeon with these reports
Thanks
