What Causes Heart Fluttering After Inserting Chest Tube In Lung?

43 year old female, My lung collapsed after a needle biopsy this past wed, the dr. had to insert a chest tube in the top of my right lung, I stayed in the hospital for 24 hours, after that the tube valve was closed and x-rays were normal so I went home. I am now having what feels like my heart fluttering, the fluttering feels like it is coming from the spot where they did the biopsy which was very close to my heart. There is only an occassion moderate chest a back pain, but the fluttering is happening every two to three minutes constantly since this afternoon around 2 pm. I hope this makes sense. Should I be concerned?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Dear Mrs,

You have arrhythmias, most probably extrasystolies (premature beats), which ban be seen sometimes after such interventions.
If they don't stop in a day, I would advise you to see your GP or a cardiologist, to perform an ECG. They may be a need for a short treatment.

Hope I could help you

Wishing you good health
