What Causes Hearing Loss In Right Ear After Cleaning Ear?
I have worn hearing aids in both ears for several years. I have my ears syringed by my doctor regularly. I woke about a week ago with dramatic loss of what little hearing i do have in my rt ear. I have tried to valsalva the ear open and have only been successful a couple of times. When i do this it opens very slow and sounds like two pieces of sticky tape being slowly pulled away from each other..i hear musical sounds, ssounds like sticks beating together and in the back ground an alternating high and low pitched hum..i cant see the ent until next week..im scared im going completely deaf! Without my hearing aids i have less than 30% hearing ..now its less than that with them!! im so sorry i have no money right now.did n
The abnormal sounds are tinnitus which can be due to different possible causes.
Sudden hearing loss always needs assessment so it is understandable that you are concerned. if you cannot see your ENT doctor at this moment you can either try to get an earlier appointment with another specialist or see your GP for an initial assessment.
