What Causes Headaches With High Grade Fever In A Stomach Cancer Survivor?

I don t have much information to give. All I know is a friend was diagnosed with stomach cancer, was treated, (surgery and I don t know if radiation and/or chemo), and was 5 months into his 2 year waiting period to see if they found it in time. He started having horrible headaches recently, and they have progressed to sudden fevers that spike so high he passes out. When he regains consciousness, he can t speak properly for a half hour or so. No memory loss, no blood pressure problems, no other symptoms. He lives in England, and has been in hospital for 9 days there with no answers after many tests. I m sorry, this is all I know.

Hello!

I read your question carefully and understand your concern!

The symptoms you describe may be related to a brain lesion ( which may be an infection or a tumor).

The radiation and chemo may cause immune system deficiency, causing several types of infection and new tumors ( beside the possibility of the metastatic tumors from the stomach cancer).

So I would recommend a routine blood test for possible hematological disorders, inflammation tests, Cancer antigens, and a brain CT scan.

Hope to have been helpful!

Greetings! Dr. Aida
