What Causes Headaches And Fatigue?

I had blood work done due to headaches and being fatigue. The GP doctor said my white blood cells and platelets are high. He wants me to see a hemoralogist now. Should I be concerned? What could be wrong? I had a c-section 10 months ago; could that be related?

Hello
thanks for using Health Care Magic

Headache and fatigue and symptoms that could be explained by a thousand and one disorders some of which could be potentially very serious.

It is less likely that the headaches and fatigue are due to the c-section given the results of your white blood cells and platelets (though not sure of the values).
Increased white blood cells associated with fever is indicative of an infection. However, am sure your doctor did examine you and is thinks its not an infection and the problem could rather be at the level of the bone marrow.

You should follow his advice to see the hematologist so as to rule out bone marrow pathologists.

Best regards
Dr Achuo
