What Causes Headache And Vomiting Post Injury To The Back Of The Head?
My son complained of a headache an hour or so ago, with nausea. He vomited quite a lot about 15 minutes ago. Normally, we would weather this storm as with any other passing malady, but he had gotten hit in the back of the head with a strongly kicked soccer ball. (He and opponents are 16 yrs. old.) The hit was more than 24 hours ago, and he continued playing after a minute to regain composure. He had no complaints or symptoms of any kind until late tonight. Could the headache and vomiting be related to the hit to the head after a full day has passed?

Yes, late symptoms can appear after head injuries and I would strongly recommend a visit to the doctor and if required even an MRI head at the earliest. If a head injury is ruled out, then we can rest assured that this is nothing serious. Please speak to a doctor or visit one at the earliest, head injuries are no simple matter.
