my five year old has had a migraine since yesterday. he complained of a headache and stomachache to his teacher just after lunch, i believe, went straight to bed after a drink of water and junior ibuprophen after he came home from school. He slept through the nigh only getting up for a drink and to pee and now it is about 14 hours later and he still has a bad headache. what should i do? i also think he feels pretty warm but i dont have a working thermometer.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best to take him to be seen by a doctor. It is possible that there may be an underlying cause, besides migraines for the headaches.

Many viral infections may be associated with headaches eg the flu, cough/cold but it can also occur with more serious illnesses.
Since the headache is so severe and it has been ongoing for a prolonged period of time, then he should be seen as soon as possible.

I hope this helps
