What Causes Headache And Recurring Bruising And Iron Deficiency?

My 16 year old daughter lives with her father. I know she has Psoriasis and she told me last night via facebook that she s having some blood work done because she has severe headaches, she s been bruising easily and knows that her iron is severely low. Can you tell me just with an estimated guess what the possibility of her condition might be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern for your daughter.
Easy bruising with iron deficiency could be due to hematological condition called 'thrombocytopenia' or 'aplastic anaemia'.
She needs to check her platelet counts and get her bleeding & clotting time done.
Kindly ask her to consult a physician for proper evaluation and appropriate management.
Wish her good health.
