What Causes Headache And Elevated Bp While On Birth Control?

I started birth control a month ago and started getting headaches. I checked my blog pressure and it was high and has continued to be high for the last four days. Today it read 133/93 and yesterday it was 148/89 Is this a concern? What should I do? Is it the birth control? I am a healthy 36 year old and never had high blood pressure before.
