What Causes Headache And Dizziness?

I recently stopped Paxil after using it for over a yr. I have been experiencing headaches and dizziness at times along with some lightheadness at times. These feelings all seems to be happening right behind my eyes. I have been off Paxil for approximately 2 wks. What could be behind these feelings?

hi.

I had gone through your query.

Paxil contain peroxetin and it is SSRI.

Peroxetin has shortest half life among all SSRI medicines.SSRI is selective serotonin re uptake inhibitors.

Sudden cut down of peroxetin may lead to withdrawal symptoms and it is due to serotonin effect.

It is advisable to cut down it very slowly and gradually to avoid such symptoms like headache and dizziness.
Sometime it will lead to more serious symptoms so Consult your psychiatrist before make any change in medicines.

Consult and get help.

Glad to help you further.

Thank you.
