What Causes Haziness In The Lower Lungs?

i am 40 years old.i went to the hospital today,for my chest xray and the results are haziness is evident in both lower lung zones,heart is not enlarged and diaphragm and bony thorax are unremarkable.i really don't know what does it mean.would you please explain it to me doc.thank you very much.

The haziness could represent pneumonia or perhaps atelectasis--collapsed air sacs. If you have a cough and fever then it most likely would be pneumonia
