What Causes Having Painful Red Bump On Soft Palate When On Sinusitis Treatment?

I am being treated for sinusitis and yesterday I noticed a red bump on my soft palate that made swallowing painful and was tender to the touch. I thought it went away but I woke up this morning and it was more red and bigger. Note it s on my right side and this was the side that I had worst congestion and sinus issues.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain as you are being treated for sinusitis there might be post nasal drip leading to infection in throat and the painful bump can be either due to bacterial or viral throat infection..
It can also be a Pyogenic granulona or an infected minor salivary gland tumor known as Adenoma..

Nothing to worry start taking Antibiotics like Amoxicillin and anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and do warm saline gargles after consulting your treating physician..

Avoid spicy and hard foods..
