What Causes Hardening Of The Arteries Visible In A Mammogram?
I had a mammorgram the other day - showed that I have a little hardening of the arteries - is this normal? I have had breast implants for 30 years and it also shows that I have some calcilum build up between the Implant and the muscle wall? Just curious - my doctor says it comes with age - I am 61 - have worked out since I have been 25 and try and eat right - and have a glass a wine a week?? Thanks!
Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM . Read and reviewed your query and health concerns.
My opinion- In the given situation-You seem to suffer from natural hardening response of body tissues around the implant. The increased inflammatory response of breast tissue around implant after 30 yrs could be a cause of early hardening in arteries around implant, which with age is a routine reaction. Check with coronaries for the accompanied hardening and palques leading to undiagnosed CAD to avoid its risks in time by proper treatment.
Further suggestions in this regard would need ore information /investigations after getting more details from You.
This brief reply is given on facts submitted, which needs to be verified from your attending doctors, with whom you can check before starting further changes in the treatment.
Hope this would help you to plan further of this complex illness of yours.
