What Causes Hard Swelling After Eating Which Takes Time To Go Back?
I have been dignosed with diverticulosis lately I have been eating within 30 minutes to an hour I have on my left side a area that swells like a ball and hard and it takes an hour or so to go back down it is hard as a rock and sometimes painful I don t this is normal
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of getting diagnosed as Diverticulosis, There is swelling on the left side of the abdomen after 30 minutes of eating which is hard and like a ball and takes about an hour to go back to normal. I would think of the following possible diagnosis: - Intestinal obstruction. This can be easily diagnosed by being at the X-ray center, eat your food and get the x-rays in the standing position the moment the swelling has appeared. Additional studies of Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen and other tests after clinical evaluation can be of help to get the proper diagnosis and treatment.
