What Causes Gurgling Stomach, Heartburn And Chest Pain?

hi ive been getting a lot of gurgling in stomach really bad heartburn and when i try to sleep keep get thumping chest pain that is keeping me awake cause it makes me feel like my life is slipping away,also i wake in night covered in sweat and walking about all day feeling drunk

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your can be attributed to Gastrointestinal cause.
However, certain investigations like ECG & Echocardiography should be done to rule out any cardiac pathology for the symptoms.

Heartburn & reflux of acid from stomach is caused due to relaxation of the sphincter at the lower part of esophagus.

Management consists of:
1. Lifestyle modification- like weight reduction, sleeping on the left side, or with upper body raised.
2. Dietary modification- avoid consuming irritating substances such as acidic & rich foods, caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol.
3. Medical management- Proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole, Pantoprazole (which prevent acid formation in stomach)+ Domperidone preparations (strengthens the sphincter & prevents reflux)

So, it will be better to consult your treating Doctor/ Gastroenterologist.
Investigation like Upper GI endoscopy will be helpful in clinching the diagnosis.
