my baby is 11 months and has a 2 inch area that looks and feels like a lump on her left hand. Doesn't seem like it hurts, she is active with no other symptoms. It has been there since birth and seems to be growing. Not red or anything it just under the skin. She has no other medical problem very healthy baby at a normal weight. 22lbs.
Such bum is most likely a ganglioncyst. This kind of lump is filled with clear liquid as the cyst has connection with a joint. There is no risk in leaving it alone, however sometimes it can cause a pain. If you have any doubts, please consult general surgeon and have an ultrasound of this area done.
Hope this will help. Regards.
