What Causes Growing Blood Blister In The Throat While Having Tonsillectomy?

Hi I had a tonsillectomy 8 days ago, yesterday one of the smaller scans came off while I was eating soup and soft white bread and has formed a blood blister, it bled for about 15 min but very minor. But is a risen red bubble now about 2ml big. It has jist started to bleed a little bit again from that nlood blister thing. Just wondering if this is normal.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, Post tonsillectomy the bleeding after 7 days from the tonsillar bed as you mentioned fall of scabs means chances of secondary infection of the operated site. Since it is minor and not having other symptoms nothing to worry. But the blood blister/ clot has to be checked by the surgeon at least once. You please go for review. The minute bleeding if uncontrolled cause major issues later on. You may require extended Antibiotic coverage. Take care.
