My 8 month old has had nasal drainage of greenish yellowish color since he was 6 months old. He was given add adderax to help with congestion & at 6 month check-up doctor prescribed Aug. He was allergic so he ended up not taking very much as far as antibiotics go. 2 months have gone by & he still can't sleep well at night- has to be upright & I am giving Benadryl alternating w/ adderax & still having to asperate his nose hourly to get the long moist strands of mucus out. He had high fevers this past week & doctor said he had HFM disease & should be better by Sunday. I never saw any sores anywhere unless there somewhere in his throat. He's barely eating and is miserable. Do I need another opinion or is it typical for a baby to have this go on for so long?
