What Causes Green Colored Bowel Movements?

Over the past 2 days, my bowel movements have been very green. Not black or dark, but a leafy green vegetable green color. Otherwise, bowel movements seem normal. I have not eaten a lot of green, leafy vegetables either. I have eaten vegetables, but not necessarily green, leafy ones. Is this anything to worry about?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, i do care for your concern.
As you have no symptoms now, you need not worry about this right now.
It is not necessary that only green vegetables should cause green stool, as other pigments in vegetable can also cause this.
Some pathogens also cause greenish discoloration, however as you have nil symptoms, you need not worry.
You can carry on with your normal diet.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
I find this answer helpful
