What Causes Genital Area Itching Skin, Eczema, Redness And Hive Skin Irritation?

My question is a little embarrassing. I have been having itchy skin for the last year or so and my dr. says I have developed excema. I also get really itchy in the genital area and get redness and hive like skin irritation at the top of my thighs. I am allergic to sulfa. Also I do drink red wine often and have been for a few years now. Can red wine cause this itchy skin. It s worse in the genital area. My dr. once told me it s jockitch.

Hello
Thank you for posting on HCM
From your description, it seems you have got Tinea corporis/cruris, a sort of fungal skin infection.
I would recommend you consult a dermatologist for proper management.
I generally recommend proper course of oral antifungal drug like fluconazole / itraconazole along with local application of sertaconazole or luliconazole cream over affected areas.
Take oral antihistaminics for itching as required.
Hope this will take care of your problem
Thank you
