What Causes Gastric Trouble With Beating Sensation In Stomach?

Hi, I'm 20 year old male and 4 days ago I was using computer in the afternoon when suddenly I feel like something beating on my belly left side next to belly buttonand I could see it move. It's random when it appears and the rythm it beats. It lasted 2 days, and it was gone for the weekend, till Monday night it came back and now still here. Also I don't know if its related but on Sunday I woke up with a cold and a headache which were gone after I took a nap, and today I woke up feeling like vomitting and had to go bathroom Poop 4 times but I feel much better now. Also I feel a lot of gas accumulated. Only this sudden beating is keeping me worried. Ill await for a further reply and see a doctor if I have too. Thanks for your time.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This beating sensation is related to hyperperistaltic movement of the gut following certain infections.

I am giving you through certain guidelines and I hope you will not need to see a doctor.

• Drink plenty of liquids preferably boiled water, coconut water, lemon juice, green tea, coffee, buttermilk in fractions
Soft diet in small quantity at intervals
• In our clinic we recommend to give capsule Prilosac and lactobacillus molecules and Tylenol as and when required for headache after meals, gut specific antibiotics in selected cases as per case need.
• Avoid prolong fasting or overeating
• Avoid stress, anxiety, and smoking or alcohol
• Avoid all oily or spicy, beverages, junk foods, and non-vegetarian stuff
• Regular rhythmic sound sleep of 7 to 8 hours
• Remain ambulatory with some exercises, deep breathing, and yoga help

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
