What Causes Fundal Gastritis While Having Heart Problem?
Hi....My Question to Gastroentrologist
My Mother aged 72 yrs, Heart patient ( Angiplasty done in two arteries in June 2009) and obviously on mediation since then. Now she is diagnosed Fundal gastritis by endoscopy, Duodenum - 1st Part Duodenitis and Few erosions with nodularities seen in fundus. Rests report normal.
She is advised Amoxycillin (1G) BD and Clarithromycin ( 500 mg) BD which do not suit her as having lose motions.
Please let me know the reason, time for healing, risks, recurrence, precautions, best medication ( for ref.)...........Regards.

the patient has to have Flagyl 500mg tab twice daily, and ranitidine 150mg tab twice daily, with regular follow up of symptoms
