What Causes Fresh Blood To Drip During Bowel Movements?

I have had an infection post particial mesh removal 16mths ago. Severe anaemia not responding to iron tablets. Now onto iron injections. But dark dried blood has past in stools, now fresh red blood dripping with bowel movements. Not from fissures. Pain across lower spine/tailbone area where mesh arms dissected. Mesh has gone into bowel and can t be removed without taking bowel. Infection not responding to antibiotics. Heart palpitations, hands and feet numb, and if trying to walk is red, puffy and swollen. Hospital and regular gynae surgeon has refused to do anything and cut me off from hospital care. New pain in abdomen when bleeding commenced. Constant migraines. And pain not relieved with normal pain relief.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of removal of the infected mesh most probably used for rectal prolapse as per the history you have provided, you have resistant anemia not responding to oral iron and hence on iron injections. There is blood dripping on passing bowel movement.
I would think of the following and advise accordingly:
first of all to go for ano-proctoscopy and colonoscopy to assess the cause and to plan according to the findings to get control over the bleeding, which may be the cause of persistent anemia.
The pains after the mesh removal is expected as there would be too much of the fibrosis and the persistence of infection indicated a nidus of infection mostly in the form of retained mesh.
The foreign body has to come out to stop the pain, inflammation and so on.
I would advise you the following:
Take a second opinion of another Surgeon and get a clinical evaluation, examination, investigations like MRI and to get an appropriate actions.
