What Causes Frequent Vomiting And Headache In Children?

My 9 year old daughter got sick about a week ago. She vomited off and on throughout the day. The next day she was completely fine. The day after that she felt sick again, vomited off and on throughout the day and complained that her heart hurt . Now, a few days ago, my 13 year old son got sick and vomited throughout the day. The next day (yesterday) he was perfectly fine. Now he is sick and vomiting again and saying that his heart hurts. What could this be? Why is going off and on? Should I visit the ER with them?
