What Causes Frequent Urination While On Cipro?

Hello.... I have been taking Cipro for Gastroenteritis, and my question is is it normal to continue to urinate the whole time you are on the medication?? Also, I have some burning in that area as well.... Just want to make sure this is normal.... Thanks

It thinks you also have urinary tract infection. Urinary tract infections are the commonest bacterial infection in older people and the risk increases with age. Predisposing factors in old age include diabetes, urinary tract stones, steroid use, and chronic illness impairing immune system.
1.     Drink 4 – 5 liters of uncontaminated water to flush out bacteria
2.     Syrup alkaline citrate 2 teaspoonful three times daily for 1 week
3.     Tablet Ciprofloxacin 500 mg per oral twice daily for 7 days
4.     Do not hold your urine. Urinate when you feel
5.     Metronidazole 400 mg every 8 hours for 5 days
6.     Albendazole 400 mg empty stomach orally – only once – 1 tablet
7.     Investigations:
a.     routine examination of urine
b.     routine examination of stool
c.     culture & sensitivity of urine
d.     total & differential count of WBC
