Hi,

I cannot say in your particular case, but generally, this is the classic presentation of diabetes. There can be a lot of other potential causes such as a reaction to a head injury with disregulation of fluid/salt (pituitary problem), nerves/psychological issues, drug effects, kidney injury/damage making it just leak out fluid, but diabetes is by far the most common.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman
