What Causes Frequent Urination And Dry Mouth After Increasing Fluid Intake?

Hi, I ve been drinking more water than usual for the last week. My urination has increased as well. However, it has gotten to the point where I am urinating 3-4 times a night and my mouth is still dry. None of these symptoms were present before I began drinking more water (120 or so oz. per day). is my frequent urination a simple by product of increased fluids?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of excessive thirst[ Polydypsia],and excessive urination[Polyuria] and dryness of mouth [ Xerostomia] are all features of DIABETES MELLITUS and for this you should consult a Diabetologist or an Endocrinologist and get evaluated..
After evaluation the doctor may advise you to get blood evaluations done for Fasting Blood Sugar, Post Prandial Blood Sugar and Glycosylated Hemoglobin..
In case if diabetes is diagnosed Oral Hypoglycemic Drugs which help in reducing blood glucose level can be advised to you, along with it lifestyle modifications like curbing down the refined carbohydrates and sugars, and taking high fibre and protein diet, eating small meals every two hours along with it doing medium workout or walk for atleast 30 to 45 minutes can help in maintaining normal range of blood sugar levels..

Hope this information helps..
