Hello Tony,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
Apart having hernia operation 9 weeks ago, i did not notice any other health problem in your medical history as per your reports.

I don't either know what kind of hernia it was and what type of surgery you have done to manage it to evaluate if it can be a cause to your actual peeing problems. Furthermore, your muscle damage after operation is too old to give renal troubles now.

It's good that you like to stay fit, it would be helpful in resolving your health problems faster.

As I was going through your medical history, I noted that you drink 2 cups of coffee per day. Caffeine in coffee can make you produce more urine, thus you expect your bladder to get fulled faster. During night blood circulation in the kidneys is increased making them work more and faster. This is why you may feel urgent need to pee early in morning and at night.

Drinking alcohol occasionally, at weekends can also make your bladder get fulled more and faster, stimulating urination.

Furthermore, at your age, 50 years old, the prostate gland starts to increase its dimensions putting pressure into the urinary pathways. A further prostate check up (abdominal ultrasound, PSA, digital examination by urologist) is recommended.

Urinary tract infection is also to exclude through urine analysis and abdominal ultrasound.

Try to reduce coffee intake during the day, especially in the afternoon. Avoid drinking fluids in the late afternoon (after 6 p.m.). Take OTC cranberry/uva-ursi supplement that serve as urinary antiseptics until you see your doctor.

I hope this was helpful. Wish fast recovery.
