What Causes Frequent Seizures While Suffering From Autistic Disorder?

My son (18 years old) has autism. He also has seizures. He started on meds and have steady increased them to a therapeutic rage. However he is still having seizures 1 a month but they have grown worse in how they effect him, they leave him pretty much wiped out. Is there any thing else we can do or try?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If he is still getting frequent seizures then he needs to be reviewed by a neurologist or epilologist ( a doctor specializing in seizure control).

This would be important especially in light of the fact that the seizures are affecting him worse.
His medication may need to be changed or another one added.

I hope this helps
